I had an idea for a new chart that could be a useful addition to the site: Real asking price levels. Since asking prices tend to be influenced by mortgage rates, how about showing asking prices, or more accurately, housing costs based on asking prices and current mortgage rates (ex: 30 year fixed)? I think this, along with inventory data which we have, might do a bit to help explain price phenomena.
